🚨 TRANSFER ALERT 🚨

Newcastle may have 3⃣ new signings soon. Let's have a look at how they compare to the previous players at their positions.

First, Callum Wilson v Joelinton. It's not hard to improve on the Brazilian's output. Wilson gets into the box much more. £20m.

Next, Ryan Fraser. He played mostly a sort of LM for Bournemouth last season. Let's compare to Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almirón (slightly different scales but close). Fraser is a more aggressive passer, as good on the ball as Saint-Maximin. Doesn't defend much though.

Fraser is a free transfer. A question is how the Magpies will use Saint-Maximin if they also want Fraser on the pitch. Here are their smartermaps from their most common positions last season. Saint-Maximin to play centrally, or shift to the right as at Nice, Almirón benched?

3/4

Jamal Lewis, a smarterscout young prospect, may also be arriving on Tyneside. Jetro Willems never got into a groove before injury ended his loan. Rose is back at Spurs. So it's wide open for Lewis, who's more of a dribbler and less of a crosser. Bruce likes the ground game!
