#FPL Watchlist #GW1

It's fair to say that FPL 2020/21 may be the most difficult yet, with two of the country's biggest teams missing out the first GW altogether. With this in mind, GW1 may not be the time for taking risks, so we've considered some reliable assets...

... who should provide solid value on their starting prices. However, don't despair - there will be a more daring list of differentials coming later in the week!

Let's dive in 👇🧐

DF: Alexander-Arnold: Not much needs saying about Liverpool's marauding right back - he was the highest scoring defender in the league last season with an incredible 210 points and yet his £7.5m starting price is actually lower than in July's GW38.

Although Neco Williams has been blooded into the first team by Jurgen Klopp, there's no reason to believe he is a serious threat to Trent's minutes and it would surprise no-one if he registered double digit assists for the third successive Premier League season.

MF: Aubameyang: Aubameyang has scored 54 goals in 85 Premier League appearances since joining Arsenal and if he continues at this rate he'll be on course for another 20 goal season. With his goals now worth 5 points each after being re-classified as a midfielder, 20 goals would..

...give him a baseline of over 170 points, which would put him 7th in all midfielders last season before even counting clean sheets, assists and bonus. He should score similarly to Salah and Mané this season and will be a valuable captain option on a weekly basis.

FW: Werner: Chelsea have completely revolutionized their squad in the transfer window, splashing cash left and right to enable them to challenge Liverpool and City for the title this season. One of their most exciting additions is Timo Werner, who managed a phenomenal 28 goals...

...in 34 matches last season. Although rotation is expected at Chelsea, it was clear last season that Lampard was unhappy with his attacking options at times and if Werner hits the ground running, this may be a train that you either jump on quickly or get flattened by.
