Frontier, devs of @EliteDangerous have filed their **AUDITED** yearly financials. As usual, it's very impressive.

The shade thrown at that 9 year, $400M scam is all the lols you'd need to today.

"We verified that there was a significant appetite for such a game with Kickstarter crowdfunding at the end of 2012 and early 2013, and the game itself has now vindicated that decision with continued success in its sixth year of full release (its seventh year since early access)"

"For comparison, other high-profile space exploration games that entered Kickstarter in the early 2010s have still not released at all, speaking to the challenges of the genre and to our teams expertise and ability to deliver compelling product in a timely fashion."

Due to the market, I was very skeptical of both these games back in 2012. But even though ED sidelined some features in consideration of an actual release, Star Citizen just kept piling on crap after crap after crap once they tapped into the spigot of sunk cost fallacy & cultism.

Today, one game is completed, has released major expansion packs over the years, and is still going strong - with another major update (legs!) due out in 2021.

The other one? Well, you know the story with that one, so I need not harp on it. Oh - and the creators are MIA.
