Windsor Elementary School held a parking lot “meet your teacher face to face” event on August 20th.
According to the schools’ Facebook page, Demetria “Demi” Bannister was stationed near the preschool portables. She died 18 days later from #COVID19 on September 7th.

However, photos on Windsor Elementary School’s Facebook page show teachers engaging parents within 6 feet and some students not wearing masks.
Windsor Elementary School also had 5 different groups of students in the building from August 17-21 for “LEAP days.”
Lessons included the importance of wearing a mask.
In a Facebook live video from a “teacher parade” event held on April 7th, Principal Denise Quickel of Windsor Elementary School, where Demetria Bannister was a teacher, can be seen making her two Assistant Principals pose for photos. No one is wearing masks.
At a Teacher Appreciate Week event at the Windsor Elementary School on May 7th, Principal Denise Quickel and the school’s assistant principals aren’t wearing masks.
After the death of Demi Bannister, Windsor Elementary School has unveiled the hashtags #WindsorStrong and #DoItForDemi on their official school website.
