The reports appear to say that the State Aid clauses in the U.K.-Japan FTA mirror those of the EU-Japan FTA, something we’d say we’d be ok with so what’s the big deal? /3

The EU’s offering in their negotiating mandate for future relationship is an altogether different kettle of fish where is says the U.K. must apply EU state aid rules now & in the future as they change.
