Game Theory - Melbourne 2020
Let’s look at the current situation in Melbourne and apply game theory to it.
We have two sides playing.
On one side we have Team #IStandWithDan.
On the other side we have Team #GiveDanTheBoot.

The board on which this game is played is the City of Melbourne. Both teams are spread evenly across the entire board.
The objective of the game is to replace the leader of Team #IStandWithDan with one that is more reasonable and open to valid, professional opinions.

This is how we all get to the next level.
The game is played like this. The leader of Team #IStandWithDan makes the rules but both teams’ players have to abide by the rules.

Both teams’ players may only move within a 5km radius of their homes, for a given time and specific reason, according to the rules.

Team #IStandWithDan supports the rules, but Team #GiveDanTheBoot doesn’t.
The adjudicators of the game are #VicPol. They enforce the rules when at work but must also abide by them when not.

That is their only role, and they may move anywhere on the board at any time and use any suitable tactic to ensure the rules are followed.

Team #GiveDanTheBoot has thus far been trying to play chess with a sledgehammer. This is not how you win a game of strategy. There is NO winner when the game is played like this. You need to use your brains, not your brawn.

The leader of Team #IStandWithDan has only one strategic option at his disposal. He can change the rules whenever he wants to. To have any chance of getting to the next level, Team #GiveDanTheBoot must abide by the rules and employ a strategic move that covers the entire board.

Such a move needs to be carefully co-ordinated and well scripted to be effective.
The crowd watching from the sidelines are the media. They watch all moves and inform both teams of the current game situation.

They tend to support one side or the other depending on which side is more likely to aid in the selling of advertising, which is their source of income. They have great influence.
Team #GiveDanTheBoot have access to a communal platform of great influence, and that is social media

They can use their phones at any time and access the media just as quick as the mainstream media can, but with more widespread effect.
Team #IStandWithDan can also access social media, but without any coordinated effort to move on the board, they lack true effectiveness.

And thus the game will be won by Team #GiveDanTheBoot if they can coordinate themselves within the rules.
I’ve given you the moves. Team #GiveDanTheBoot needs to act on it. facebook.com/events/3208946…
