Judge Amitabh Rawat is trying to communicate with @UmarKhalidJNU via video conferencing. As of now, Umar is on the video of someone (presumably cop) called Manoj Singh but the video/audio seem to be off.
@UmarKhalidJNU told the judge that his lawyer is present in court and will speak for him.

Let's see how callous they are about civil liberties. Why don't they say where did he speak, when, what did he say, why is it objectionable? His Amravati speech is about peace. Prosecution only has empty rhetoric. No material evidence to back their claims.
Between 23-26 Feb he wasn't even in Delhi. Advocate Pais says, even I'm against CAA, that's not a crime. What is the crime Umar is said to have committed? What do they want from him in ten days.
It's public knowledge that people have been pressured to give statements in police custody including against Umar. They say he protested. Yes we all did. So? Why are they demanding ten days
remand? Please don't indulge these petitions that have no basis.
Umar travels all night to somehow reach Delhi from Kolkata. He is fully cooperative. All the hysteria bandied about Umar, in spite of this he has been most cooperative. Two full days of interrogation are over.
Prosecution says they want to question him about "sensitive" stuff, other accused, but why so vague? Why not specific? Why hide behind "sensitive" curtain to hide the fact that they have nothing. They've questioned him already for 15 hours.

Adv Pais: there has been an attempt on this accused's life, another attack on a Co-accused in another case. His life should not be put in danger. Also when my client meets me, police can watch but they shouldn't be within earshot.
