While the PCs have increased both their vote share and seat count, tonight's results clearly show that they have not increased their support in Francophone communities who fear assimilation.

Incumbent Michelle Conroy looks to have defeated Liberal Leader Kevin Vickers in Miramichi. CBC is reluctant to call this because it is unclear how many ballots remain uncounted.
If he does lose, Vickers would remain the only major party leader without a seat in the Legislature.
