It does appear that although there were some voices inside Qatar’s ruling family who wanted to end gulf conflict and sign a treaty with Israel, they were overruled by Turkey which together with Iran now control Qatar foreign policy

I think the real sad day in the history of the Arab world is when a nation like Qatar has its foreign policy dictated by Turkey.

Today there are 2 major stories in the Middle East. Two major peace treaties to be signed at @WhiteHouse and another, open takeover of Qatar as a Turkish dependency.

Qatar can’t even have a foreign policy of its own! Even media headlines in heavily censored regime keep changing, trying to please Iran and Turkey but hiding behind Palestinians whom Qatar is using as human shields

Disgusting Aljazeera Arabic has turned its colours to black in “mourning” at signing of peace deal. This is hours after it said peace treaty was a black moment in Arab history. I hope @realDonaldTrump @SecPompeo withdraw US ambassador from Doha.
