Most interesting points about Hamas ceasefire response:

1. Reconstruction of Gaza in 3 years;
2. Includes return to Al Aqsa pre 2002 status quo
3. Guaranteed by US, Russia, Turkey, Egypt & Qatar

It’s not only about Gaza…they’re clearly either totally delusional or speaking from a position of strength Hamas is already negotiating on a Palestinian Israeli deal that goes beyond the current Gaza war. The PA is totally sidelined…this in itself was an aim for Hamas and they have already successfully achieved it

Extraordinary President Sisi live on TV effectively lecturing Blinken. Addressed him as “Jewish citizen…” said he grew up in a Cairo neighbourhood with Jewish neighbours who were never attacked in Egypt or Arab world like what happened in Europe… Image This is the video. Approx min 6. Also worth noting that President Sisi condemned the Hamas terrorist attacks (also in video)

I was asked about whether the Jordanian Royal wedding had any political significance esp in relation to Jerusalem (Jordanian future king to a Saudi national with a Palestinian grandmother). The simple answer is yes and no, which is why it has and hasn’t political significance. This is not the first wedding between a Jordanian royal and a Saudi national but the first since the Awadallah incident. It certainly kills off any such alleged (and totally unfounded conspiracy theories) but it is not a marriage of dynasties.

Ad from Lebanon’s Middle East Airlines advertising 3 daily flights from Beirut to Jerusalem. Pre 66, Jerusalem Qalandya/Atarot was only international airport in Jordan until Jordan decided to build a new airport south of Amman (QAIA opened in 83). Most international flights from… twitter.com/i/web/status/1… Image Post 67 war, Jerusalem airport was no longer accepted as an international airport by international community and foreign airlines stopped using it. It was used till late 80s as domestic Israeli airport. Now it’s just a disused runway and checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah.

Qatar had an amazing opportunity to modernise btw getting awarded the World Cup in 2010 & now. It could have made itself the Switzerland of the East. Sadly,it chose not to. It employed criminals, extremists & spies only interested in £$€ rather than in Qatar’s future. #Qatar2022 What a waste of $200 billion. For a country of Qatar’s size, that like the Qatari govt giving each Qatari family US$4 million. Instead, it wasted its national resources on the most corrupt World Cup in history, trashing its own and FIFA’s reputation in the process #Qatar2022

Omicron has now been around for at least a full month. As far as I know, there has not been a single death by Omicron, vaccinated or otherwise. Yes, Omicron looks awfully ugly because it has many mutations, but it is not as ugly as the knee jerk reaction by some governments to it.

Plan B is the first step to lockdown. A variant that has caused no deaths and the scaremongers and socialists win. Really disappointing to see the U.K. government action. There WILL be new variants every year. We will only know how severe variants are weeks after they are identified (like flu). Does that mean the UK will now introduce economic restrictions every Xmas?! #DowningStreetBriefing

The reality is that the petrol shortages in Britain are because there is so much well-paid work locally that there aren’t enough lorry drivers. It is a problem, but a good problem to be facing… We will face a similar problem with carers…lots of old people but not enough carers. We need more open borders, only way around this. And this applies to all developed nations

Only good news is the Israeli Palestinian collaboration to deal with the fires today & as a result, Israel cancelling its request for international help. I hope both Israelis & Palestinians realise that Americans can dump them just like die with Afghanistan & finalize a deal ASAP The only reliable partners for Israelis should be the Palestinians and the only reliable partners for the Palestinians should be the Israelis. 70 years of Israeli Jews and Palestinian Arabs living together (regardless of political circumstances) means they are almost identical

Tawakul Karman, member of @Facebook Oversight Board (which I’ve warned about endlessly) celebrates Taliban win and wishes other Islamic movements follow the Taliban route. This woman oversees content on @Facebook From one of my many previous warnings about @Facebook appointment of Karman. Will @nickclegg and @facebook now act and terminate and apologise for her scandalous appointment?

Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual arm - Islamic Union of Muslim Scholars, full of praise of the Taliban win. Half a dozen statements and articles including by its head, calling it “liberation”, and calling Britain and the US “occupiers”. MB runs 400+ mosques in Britain… From the Muslim Brotherhood statement: “The International Union of Muslim Scholars is optimistic and optimistic and congratulates the Afghan people and its leadership, especially in the Taliban movement, on these steps and on this new stage that has begun..iumsonline.org/ar/ContentDeta…

Everything back in its place. 20 years ago, the ONLY channel Taliban allowed to operate in Kabul was Aljazeera. Tonight, they together celebrate victory inside the Presidential palace. Also tonight, Taliban are running the show from the home of Aljazeera, Qatar. #Afghanistan Also 20 years ago, Bin Laden out of Afghanistan decided to give Aljazeera exclusive footage of him taking responsibility for 9/11. Until when do we keep burying our heads in the sand?!

Major development: Tunisian president sacks government, gives himself executive power, parliament calls it coup…total political chaos. Tunisia tonight is undergoing its most serious test since the Arab spring…it may turn very ugly and descend into civil war like Algeria in 90s What is happening in Tunisia is - again, an Arab first. It’s effectively a struggle between staunch islamism vs staunch secularism. Only comparison is Algeria in the 1990s, but with wider Euro-Med-Arab implications here

.@British_Airways I understand u will be reducing TLV service after Israel said it would ban Israelis from travelling to UK due to Covid- I think unjustified as Covid cases are now dropping in UK. I hope u make representations to Isr reconsider this ban @UKinJerusalem @ukinisrael Since the Israeli government announced plan to ban Israelis from entering the U.K. due to Covid, Covid in the Uk dropped by 40% week on week. Almost everyone in Britain is vaccinated. Important for @British_Airways and UK authorities to explain to Israeli counterparts

Here’s a prediction on France vs Turkey. The next battle ground will be Lebanon. Turkey is already on the ground in Lebanon but nowhere as much as Iran and France. Increasing unrest in Lebanon today increases likelihood of Turkey going into Lebanon. Before end of 2021. Turkey will do all it can to effectively recolonise northern Lebanon. What is happening in Lebanon now creates this opening for Turkey.

Wonderful to see the Pope meet Shia leaders in Iraq today and Sunni leaders in Egypt last year. What is missing though are Sunni Shia meetings: when will there be a summit between Sistani and Al Azhar’s imam? This Sunni Shia infighting is the root of so much global terrorism The 2 Muslim Sunni countries who can be key to a much needed Sunni Shia reconciliation are Egypt and Jordan. Egypt for ritualistic purposes (Egyptians revere the Muslim saints so important to Shiasm and Jordan because of its Hashemite royal family revered by Shia as well)

In 2019, we successfully campaigned to have Google remove a Muslim Brotherhood “Euro fatwa app”, for anti Semitism and other incitement including giving a “fatwa” allowing Muslims in the British army to disobey orders, etc. Here is the story thetimes.co.uk/article/muslim… A few months later, Google reinstated the app after the MB-affiliated developed changed the introduction. Things like disobeying army orders remained. It then become in the top 100 downloads in Europe thenationalnews.com/world/europe/r…

77 k people died of smoking in the U.K. in the same period 65 k people died of Covid. I didn’t see any campaigns to ban smoking, did you? #COVID19 For humans, death by Covid vs death by smoking is the time scale (2 weeks vs 20 years), although smoking will almost certainly kill you whereas Covid almost certainly won’t....it’s all about time and hospital capacity. Any other difference?

The terrorist attack in Paris today is the most important terrorist attack in Europe since Charlie Hebdo in 2015, perhaps even more important. It is about an Islamist parent who’s incompatibility with French /Western culture led him to murder the teacher of his own child. 1/2 This parent terrorist was prepared to murder. He snapped, but how many more like him have this anger against Western culture and get indoctrinated by Muslim Brotherhood ideology and indoctrinate their kids in it. Those who don’t kill now are preparing to overthrow the state later

So why did you, @Twitter, the publishing of articles that included hacked info related to me despite numerous legal complaints? My legal team will be in touch again today. Having had direct personal experience of @twitter doing absolutely nothing in terms removing posts that included hacked emails or WhatsApps & stolen identities, to try to change policy in the middle of a US election now seems like a cover up to @Twitter intervention in politics
