What is national song of India? You may say "Vande Mataram". WRONG.

You will be shocked that as per Zafar Mahmood, ex-OSD to PM, and founder of Zakat Foundation that trains Civil Servants, it is "Sare Jahan Se Achha" by Iqbal. +

Zafar Mahmood is founder of Iqbal Academy India whose aim is to propagate message of Iqbal.
Is it not a tragedy that an experienced civil servant of India who trains hundreds others is not just fan of ideological father of Pakistan but also considers his poem national song?
+

Iqbal wrote Sare Jahan Se Achha in 1904. But in 1910, he wrote revised version of poem Tarana-e-Milli where he openly declared his Islamist agenda. What is interesting is that Zafar Mahmood has given link to this poetry in website of his Iqbal Academy.+

What is also interesting is that there is also an Iqbal Academy Pakistan which is a government body in Pakistan. Am I unreasonable to worry that the name is exact same - Iqbal Academy India, heralds his poem as national song of India, and Zakat Foundation is full of fanatics +

What brings more worries is that the organization that claims to send highest number of trained M in UPSC gets foreign funds from organizations whose terror links are being probed as per reports in public domain. Major individual donor is broadcaster of Peace TV of Zakir Naik +

I am surprised that the person who was OSD to PM Manmohan Singh and drafted Sachar Committee report, and trains Civil Servant aspirants believes that national song of India is poem of a bigot who broke India. Is it because of allergy to Vande Mataram?+

I would also want to highlight that Iqbal also wrote a poem glorifying Timur - the greatest killer of his times who ransacked lakhs in Delhi alone - as a new revolution.

Why is that people with deep Pakistan connections find ways to connect with this murderer and rapist?

Will Zafar Mahmood explain why he names Iqbal Academy after Pakistani govt body + why he calls Iqbal's poem national song + why he is funded from dubious sources + why his ppt on Kashmir emphasizes that boundaries of nation will decrease +++
