If every American starting wearing a mask tomorrow, we would be able get back to work, school, sports, & civic life long before a viable vaccine reached 70% of our people.
Thousands will keep dying until we all mask up.
Start there, then test, trace, & isolate.

But this President is dooming his fellow Americans to die, rebuking the @CDCDirector for telling Congress & the public what the world knows: masks are “the most important, powerful public health tool we have” in fighting this pandemic. nytimes.com/2020/09/16/wor… Impeachable idiocy

“The European experience, like the American example, looks quite different from East Asia’s. There, widespread mask usage, regular temperature checks, & strict contact tracing…coincide with…close to 0 deaths each day”

Mask, test, trace, isolate, treat.

Apps won't save the US from #COVID19.
Contact tracing depends on
1) widespread, rapid testing
2) public trust in the government
3) a social safety net for supported isolation

We need national leadership & good governance. We won't beat it without unity.

SURVEY: @pewresearch found Americans give the USA low marks for #COVID19 response pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020…
People in other nations rate it even lower.
They're not wrong.
200K+ dead.
The world know what it takes to suppress it.
Our peers are succeeding.
We're failing.
