NIGERIA@60..
1
Hmmmmm
Do we really have anything worth celebrating?
More recently  Someone said to me
"Pastor, Nigeria is a cursed country".
I said no... We are not cursed, we have only allowed pple who have no business governing us to occupy offices thru our actions & inactions

2.
For some of us, it has been a SIDON LOOK approach.

We must take back this nation from the hands of a few who have now come to believe that they own Nigeria and must always chart her course.
In the beginning, it was not meant to be so.

3.
We take back our nation in the place of prayer and not just prayers, but getting invilyand demanding accountability....

We not only pray that God will deliver this nation from the hands of bandits, kidnappers, killers, thieving, clueless and inept politicains who dont mean

4.
well for Nigerians, we must do the needful.
Now, I want to talk about a few things.

Anytime the children of God cried to God for mercy, He heard them.

Brethren, there is nothing done to us that prayers cannot undo.

There is nothing done to us that God cannot undo.

5.
Nigeria is not irredeemable,

Our case is not a hopeless one, we just have people who have grown hopeless about the Nigerian situation.

We must face the reality on ground so we can deal with it decisively.
Sometime ago in Bible days and in

6.
Zeph 3v19
At that time, I will undo all that afflicts thee....
Yes, God turned the ride around.

This is the time.
You will agree with me that Nigeria has suffered lots & lots of AFFLICTION from
CORRUPTION.
KILLERS
RITUALISTS
KIDNAPPERS
POOR ECONOMY
INSURGENCY etc

7.
Obviously something has gone wrong with that peaceful NIGERIA we once experienced or read about..
We have given CORRUPTION, THIEVING, NEPOTISM etc an all new meaning.

Now, in Nigeria of today, roses have thorns, corruption & killings have reached a monumental level.

8.
In this country, we have seen the highly skilled working the jobs of the unskilled.

In this country ,we have seen the unskilled working the jobs of the skilled.

We have seen INEPT, INSENSITIVE, CLUELESS, THIEVING people in positions of authority..

9.
We have seen oil blocks allocated to highly placed & incompetent individuals.

We have seen the voices of those who once spoke for the populace suddenly go silent.

We are in a country where we import what we can produce locally.

10.
We are in a country where less than 1% of the population is holding us by the throat.

We are in a country where corruption holds sway and cut across every facet of the society.

We are in a country where the youths are made to feel it will be their turn tomorrow while old

11.
men & women who should be in retirement are getting power drunk & holding on tenaciously to power.

We are in a country where things barely works.

More recently, Nigeria was rated as having the largest population of poor people in Africa & coupled with the fact that we

12.
suffers the most from population explosion.

Corruption, misappropriation of public funds, political instability and poor governance, religious & tribal sentiments continue to tear Nigeria apart.

13.
Although not the "most" violent in Africa, Nigeria has been tagged the most corrupt country in Africa today with a very high rate of unemployment.

Almost all political figures in Nigeria today are corrupt in one way or the other leaving the average Nigerian on the streets

14.
with nothing but poverty, anger and despair.

Between 65 -80% percent of Nigeria's population live below the international poverty line.

Most people have given up on education because they find nothing useful to do with their degrees after college.

15.
These days, you see children of school-going age begging on the streets & engaging in menial jobs just to support their families.

Things don't have to be this way..our siddon look approach must, I repeat, must change.

All these must change...

16.
Not just through prayers, but, also by getting actively involved in governance and in politics.

It will interest you to know ( according to int'l statistics) that 6 Nigerians fall into poverty each minute. That's 3.2m Nigerians per year.

17.
#Enough of our SIDDON LOOK approach..

Enough of blaming those in their 70s & 80s that refuse to retire.....

we need to rise up and be seen to be ready & well equipped to take over Nigeria.

Sulking and social media commentaries are no criteria for winning elections or being

18.
called upon to take elective positions.

When the youths of this country refuse to cease or grab opportunities, then we shouldn't complain when incompetent & thieving people step in.

Some of our youths today are more interested in ungodly and immoral deeds than their future

19.
Judges 8:20 MSG
Then he spoke to Jether, his firstborn: "Get up and kill them." But he couldn't do it, couldn't draw his sword. He was afraid - he was still just a boy.

We could conclude that afterall, he was just a youth, agreed...

20.
David had his chance against Goliath, he took it & the rest they say is history.

When God reached out to David desiring to use him to save Israel from Goliath, it was up to David to arise.

When God reached out to Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob desiring to use him to preserve

21.
the children of Israel, it was up to Joseph to arise.

2 Chronicles 26:1-5 KJV (Uzziah was only 16 when he began to rule)

Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

22.
Hear some of the great things he did)
[2] He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.
16 yrs old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

23.
[4] And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord , according to all that his father Amaziah did.

[5] And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord , God made him to prosper.

24.
But when it was the turn of Gideon's son to arise & do the needful, he said, I am still a youth, I can't
Because Jether, Gideon's 1st born couldn't do it, his father stepped in & got the job done.

25.
Judges 8:21 MSG
Zebah and Zalmunna said, "Do it yourself - if you're man enough!" And Gideon did it. He stepped up and killed Zebah and Zalmunna. Then he took the crescents that hung on the necks of their camels.

26.
When our energetic, vibrant, visionary youths refuse to ARISE & do the needful, the old guard of corrupt, inept, clueless and wicked ones will step in..

We may have inadvertently given some of these thieving, inept & clueless politicians the right to rule over us through

27.
our ACTIONS & INACTIONS, just a look at what is ongoing in Edo State, you will weep for this nation. Enticing gifts are openly being dishes out to citizens like it was a give_away time.

Nigeria is not cursed, just that we have allowed some "accursed" people rule over us.

28.
People who do not have the fear of God or love for fellow humans.

We have allowed miscreants & desperate people to rule over us for decades

God will unseat & uproot them in Jesus name.

Everyone who has made the lives of Nigerians bitter,

29.
all those masked sponsors of evil. will begin to experience bitterness in Jesus name..
Job 22v23 NLT
If you return to the Almighty, u will b restored— so clean up your life.
We must be deliberate abt returning to God if we want to b restored.
We must b intentional about this.

30.
We must start the cleaning up exercise from you & I.

We must clean up our lives & be deliberate about righteousness & righteous living.

Psalms 118:5 MSG
Pushed to the wall, I called to God; from the wide open spaces, he answered.

31.
Ezekiel 39:3 KJV
And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, & will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

Humans & not spirits are d ones impoverishing this nation.

They are just a fraction of d populace. They even have a name for themselves. They are d CABAL

32.
they are faceless & only known to a few like them whose common goal is to put Nigeria & it's resources under their control.

They have stunted the growth of our nation & stolen our common wealth.

We have had enough.

They must be rendered helpless & powerless.

33.
Psalms 73:18 MSG
The slippery road you've put them on, with a final crash in a ditch of delusions. (This is their lot..all those make lives bitter for Nigerians)

34.
Jeremiah 23:12 MSG
"But they won't get by with it. They'll find themselves on a slippery slope, Careening into the darkness, somersaulting into the pitch-black dark. I'll make them pay for their crimes. It will be the Year of Doom." God's Decree.(they will indeed pay)

35.
God will dethrone them, He will strip them naked, He will render them powerless & they shall be as nobody in Jesus name.

36.
2 Samuel 22:7-16 NLT
But in my distress I cried out to the lord; yes, I cried to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry reached his ears.(God will hear us as a people in Jesus name)

37.
And to everyone who is working against the progress of our nation, let these be their lot...

Job 18:8 MSG
They get all tangled up in their own red tape,

Job 18:10 MSG
They trip on ropes they've hidden, and fall into pits they've dug themselves.

38.
Job 18:11 MSG
Terrors come at them from all sides. They run helter-skelter.

Psalms 107:16 MSG
He shattered the heavy jailhouse doors, he snapped the prison bars like matchsticks!
Note, there are economic prisons, political prisons etc, and we pray,

39.
whatever satanic or ungodly associations past leaders have committed Nigeria into, let such union be crushed in Jesus name

40.
Psalms 55:10 MSG
Day and night spoiling for a fight, trash piled in the streets,

Psalms 55:11 MSG
Even shopkeepers gouging and cheating in broad daylight.

Things have gotten so bad, we now rip each other off. We pray again, all those causing ethnic, religious, social &

41.
economic division in our nation, begin to oppress them in Jesus name.

Psalms 2:9 MSG
You can command them all to dance for you, Or throw them out with tomorrow's trash."
We pray again, all those causing bloodshed in our nation, throw them out v tomorrow's trash in Jesus name

42.This nation will b grt again.
d eagle will fly again in Jesus name.
Yes, & to my initial question..we have a lot to thank God 4.

I can't speak for u, but, I am eternally grateful to God for His mercies over this nation. If not 4 God,where we wld be wld have been unimaginable

43.
God bless Nigeria in Jesus name.
