Marketing Influencers vs Millionaires observation
- Guys running ads making $3M+/year grow a following as a side effect
Their posts get only 190-400 likes.
Because the algorithm sees their followers don’t engage with their organic content it..
Only shows their posts to a tiny fraction of people
They’re also not entertainers, they’re effective sellers
Without fail, every time they post maybe 3-7 things a year
Its family, friends, dog, wife, cars, hobbies
They have 40,000-100,000 followers just like the influencers
But the influencers rely on organic traffic
The influencers posts are designed to be more engaging & their more frequent posting means way more likes
🔑 Key point I am trying to make here is this...
With some exceptions
Guys making $3-5M+/yr
- Aren’t entertainers
- Leverage money to make paid traffic do the work
- ‘boring’ social media posts on personal page
‘Influencers’ making $100k-$1M/year
- Lots of posting & entertaining
- No paid traffic or very light supplementary paid traffic
Few exceptions of hybrids who dominate both
But I’ve noticed these patterns enough times to say they’re significant
