2020 is now at par with 2016 in ranking as the Worst Year Ever.

I am crying so hard right now I can barely breathe.

I loved #RuthBaderGinsburg for what she did, who she was, and everything in between.

I mourn for our nation and our highest court.

I have to admit that a cloud of hopelessness is hanging over my head right now and following me wherever I turn.

I am made Eeyore.

I would love to to think this will turn our way and that we will be able to do now what the Republicans managed with Merrick Garland.

But...

I have given this same moment my hope too many times and it has left me broken and cynical.

They pushed through a vicious drunk, a literal bestie of the likes of Ann Coulter and Tucker Carlson for Christ's sake.

Kavanaugh's confirmation fully exposed our ineffectualness .

Lately I've come to realize that they just want it more.

They have always understood the long game better than we have and that allows them a kind of patience that the left has never exhibited anywhere. Ever.

Oh. And they will literally say and do anything to win.

And its hard to fight against that kind of amoral, laser focused, determination.

Its not just that they will do anything to win, it's that they will do anything if they lose.

Ask Barack Obama and both Bill and Hillary Clinton what its like to beat the radical right.
