Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Back in June, @JoshFoxFilm and I discussed "The Nightmare Scenario" — that Trump can win via a constitutional coup d’état, by invoking the 12th Amendment.
Here’s how it could happen… GOPs vote in person, Dems by mail. The result? Election night count shows Trump landslide; exit polls show Trump landslide. As mail-in ballots reverse the race, Trump tweets "rigged!”
Then, Roger Stone — as in 2000 — directs a riot in county voting offices stopping the opening of mail-in ballots. And, as in 2000, the count is stopped by Nov 30 "certification day." January 20 Trump inaugurated. January 21…?
As to #12thAmendment, it’s one state, one vote—handing the election to Trump; but what happens if the Democrats walk out and deny a quorum? No one knows. But likely, disputes will go to the #SupremeCourt which would certainly repeat Bush v Gore. #RIPRBG #RIPDemocracy
