A message to all women out there...
Few months back, one friend crossed 40.
Just about 8 days later an ailment was the excuse and a condolence message on the group. Sad.. no more... RIP 🙏
Till her death she would oversee everything, home, education of their children, in laws, their sickness, relatives, everything.
She would often ask should we not get appreciation? Why are we taken for granted?
Two months after her death, I called her husband. A thought crossed my mind he must be devastated. He had a travelling job and hence I thought he must be lost with the sudden burden of all the responsiblities she used to handle, moreover the loneliness at this age.
I was wondering how must he be managing?
The cell phone rang for some time but no response, my mind was perplexed. After an hour he returned the call. He apologised that he could not receive the call & mentioned he was with his friends in the club house, playing tennis.
Puzzled I asked, "All well at home?"
He replied, he had hired a cook, he paid her more and she would buy the groceries and provisions. He had hired full time caretaker for his aging parents & kids
Hearing this I barely had anything to say and we hung up.
Tears welled up my eyes.
My friend was a dedicated home maker, she had missed so many school reunions, get togethers, movie plans, visits to her parents for her family.
She always stayed away from all the me time, with a hope of appreciation, which never came till she was alive.
How I wish she was around & I could tell her.....
No one is indispensable and no one will be missed. It is just a play of our mind to put family first. And hence you have taught them you come second.
Reality bites:
Her death hardly mattered her family. It was merely compensated with two additional maids.
Isnt it true that we ourself measure our respect & value?
So my dear friend please enjoy life, take out time for your self happiness & remove the thought that without me the house will suffer🙏
Remember time is ticking every second 🕙
