Of the entire Five Eyes nations the only person they managed to get any dirt on is the already-discredited/convicted Paul Manafort
High level financial crime/corruption is rife in England, USA, NZ, Aus & Canada too but crickets 1/
Granted, the files themselves wouldn't have any details on Five Eyes oligarchs or their crimes because Five Eyes oligarchs aren't investigated by Five Eyes financial crime reporting agencies
Doesn't mean the crimes don't exist, just that they're sacrosanct or state-sanctioned 2/
As far as I can tell, #FinCENFiles serves only to discomfort already-investigated economic enemies of the Five Eyes global network
There seems to be very little in the reporting that is conceivably of discomfort to Western intelligence agencies; arguably this serves them 3/
Perhaps some of the banks named (Citibank etc) will suffer reputational damage as a result of #FinCENFiles but I doubt what they are accused of is the slightest touch on what could be found were arms dealers or espionage ops exposed instead of largely 3rd world crime figures 4/
Thus it seems, once again, that large-scale document leaks about the ultimate sources of power on this planet - the 'global network' (as they themselves call it) of the Five Eyes intelligence agencies - seldom seem to come out of any outlet other than @wikileaks & their partners
