I hope the FG will repeal the land use act and give land ownership back to communities and rural dwellers. We cannot defeat rural poverty when we have assets / dead capital locked away. The greatest route to wealth in rural communities is their land.
They have nothing except their ancestral land and solid minerals. All these are locked away from them. They cannot use their land to access credit facilities from banks because the lands don't have CofO and aren't documented. They cannot attract investment in their communities
Investment in farming and other activities are land dependent. When land ownership returns to the people, the governors will be forced to focus on them and work with them.

Continue to exist. How can we solve mass housing problems when the FG itself is struggling to get land allocation from state governors for its housing projects. What is the fate of private investors and developers?
State government can collect taxes on development and sale of land. Let the villagers own their land, remove the requirement that the consent of state govt or LG official is needed as perfect land transactions.
Revert to ownership and abolish occupancy
Land is the fastest route to wealth, Land is money, Land is credit, land is everything to the rural dwellers. Let them determine their fate..
