As part of the National Week of Mourning for victims of COVID-19, Oct. 4-11, we invite you to join our contingent of solo and small group actions. We will be using the graphics from our #WeGrieveTogether image archive to create signs, shrines and collages. facebook.com/events/8206524…
We will photograph and uplift these mini memorials on multiple platforms and post them with hashtag #WeGrieveTogether. You can find art for collages, signs and shrines here (or use your own): bit.ly/grieveart
Many of us will be doing hands on crafting for this, but you can also collage digitally, if you prefer. If you have access to a high quality color printer, pls consider sharing materials w people who do not have access, but who would like signs or to create collages or shrines.

As prison industrial complex abolitionists, the Chicago contingent will be paying special tribute to imprisoned people who've died of COVID-19 by creating a vigil mixtape that will be played outside of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown during the week of mourning.
The mixtape will also be available for you to listen to, so that we can share that collective experience. The speeches in this mixtape will be made into a zine that will be distributed to imprisoned people. #WeGrieveTogether
Who will be joining me in making a sign, shrine or collage for this solo and small group vigil situation? facebook.com/events/8206524…
