Some more clues on Iranian-DPRK cooperation in today's Treasury designations of individuals associated with Iran's liquid propellant entity Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG).
The first interesting part is the mention of DPRK specialists assisting one of Iran's space launches. Considering the similarities between both countries's SLVs, this is not too surprising.
The scond one mentions Seyyed Mirahmad Noushin as being 'key to negotiations with the North Koreans on long-range missile development projects.'
Mirahmad Noushin was already sanctioned back in 2016 for negotiating Iranian-DPRK cooperation on an 80-ton rocket booster engine which highly likely refers to North Korea's RD-250 clone powering the Hwasong 15 ICBM. treasury.gov/press-center/p…
So could the latter be the joint Iran-DPRK 'long-range missile project' which unnamed US officials told Reuters had resumed? Seems quite likely but hard to be 100% certain. news.trust.org/item/202009201…
