Continuing its action against drug peddlers, @narcoticsbureau has busted an International module of heroin, cocaine & marijuana traffickers.
•In another operation 8 persons including kingpin were arrested around 8 kg heroin, 455 g cocaine and 1.1 Kg marijuana was seized.
"The recent arrest of the India based African Kingpin lea to recovery of 1.75 Kg of heroin.
•Entire India based module of this syndicate busted .
•Follow up investigation reveals that around 52 kg of contraband has been trafficked by this syndicate", KPS Malhotra Dy Dir NCB.
Initially one parcel containing 970 gm heroin was seized in Delhi on 1st September 2020 & in the continued operation, on the basis of digital foot prints and digital forensic analysis, intelligence was developed that more such international parcels were destined for India. 3.
"These parcels belonged to the same syndicate, which was operating via modus operandi of using fake/illegally arranged IDs, the mastermind of the syndicate is based abroad, who created multiple layers to evade detection", KPS Malhotra Dy Dir @narcoticsbureau 4
"The kingpin (handler in India) of this Indo-Nigerian drug syndicate Frank @ Peter was operating the entire syndicate from his rented flat at Noida. The consignor of these parcels is based in South Africa", KPS Malhotra Dy Dir @narcoticsbureau (5)
Investigation revealed that the lady accomplice (Burmese refugee) was entrusted with the task to forge or prepare fake Adhaar cards in the name of Indian citizens with either proper or entirely fake address. The same Id cards were then handed over to the Kingpin Frank. (6)
The other active Indian syndicate members used to receive the copy of such Id cards and details of parcels with tracking numbers from Frank @ Peter and collected as and when such parcels reached India showing the copy of Id cards. (7) @narcoticsbureau
In the operation about 6.25 kg heroin, 455 g cocaine & 1.1 Kg premium quality marijuana were seized & hunt for the kingpin Frank @ Peter was being carried out by the NCB team. On the basis of information the ring master of the syndicate was apprehended on 15th September 2020.(8)
Based on the digital analysis of electronic media recovered from him, @narcoticsbureau DZU has further seized 02 parcels meant for the syndicate and seized 1.750 kg heroin on 16th September 2020. All the 08 accused have been sent to Judicial custody & investigation is underway. 9
