Pakistani Shia Muslims and their Harakiri pact with the Sunnis.
#ShiaTargetKilling
A short lesson in history.
Harakiri is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Nasty stuff!
The famous Attorney General of Pakistan, the Oxford educated liberal, ZAB's confidant, Yahya Bakhtiar made an interesting reference to this practice in the parliament.
It was the infamous in-camera session of Pakistan's national assembly,
Date 6th of Aug, 1974.
We are into the 2nd day of the cross-examination by Mr. Bakhtiar of Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad, the supreme head of the #Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Mr. Bakhtiar has failed to make any progress on the legal basis of declaring Ahmadis as non-Muslims. He has been faffing around about copyright laws and how the parliament has a right to own this copyright on behalf of the Pakistani clergy.
Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad tells all those present that countless fatwas of disbelief exist between each sect of Muslims. Where will this madness stop?
Yahya Bakhtiar responds that all Muslim sects were unanimous in declaring Ahmadis as Non-Muslims while the edicts quoted by the Khalifatul Masih were individual opinions of one sect against another.
Therefore parliament has the right to throw Ahmadis outside the pale.
Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad then mentioned that many sunnis want Shias to be declared non-Muslims. Will it be their turn next?
He then quoted a scholar who had famously said "We have only started Jihad against Ahmadis. We will deal with the others once we are done with them first".
'That will be Hara-Kiri". Yahya Bakhtiyar remarked; probably the only correct conclusion he made during those 17 days.
There were a number of Shia members of Parliament present during these proceedings, including ZAB.
One can read the speech by Syed Abbas Hussain Gardezi (a shia scholar) in the proceedings, which supposedly represented the Shia opinion on the matter.
I do not believe Mr. Gardezi was representing the Shia Muslims of Pakistan, but unfortunately, time and again, many shia clerics have chosen to take part in this Takfir to curry favour with the sunni clergy.
Is it not the time to clearly and vocally admit that mistake?
But even if they don't admit they were wrong, and even if they continue to participate in this takfir, #Ahmadis will always be the first to condemn those who are persecuting their Shia brothers.
