[Ecom CRO case study #2 - Dropbottle]

7 techniques Dropbottle uses to increase conversion rate & average order value :

If you're into ecom, take notes.

Thread👇

1. Clear call to action with buying intent

Instead of a simple "Add to cart" button, it's always better to have a clear call to action like "Buy it now" "Grab it now" "Get mine now".

It just converts more.

The CTA is the most visible element of the page. As it should be.

2. More items added to cart = Progressive discount

Most ecom stores only offer a discount for more items added to the cart.

It's good, but it could be much better.

Dropbottle offers discount "packs" with unique names & identities.

Much more powerful.

3. Benefit list on top section

The 5 first seconds are the most important. 90% of your visitors will leave the page during this chunk of time.

Display a small list of benefits on the "above the fold" section will make visitors stay on the page and scroll.

Do like Dropbottle

4. 1$ given to a charity of every sale

It's a great way of triggering the emotions of your visitors to make them buy your product.

Works great on products related to nature, zero wast etc..

In this case, it works great because Dropbottle claim to make "zero waste" bottles.

5. Limited stock bar on top section

It's always better to put some scarcity on your landing page (if you can).

Not a big fan of this bar because it's probably a fake but still better than "9 persons are watching this product" or "1 ITEM LEFT BIG DISCOUNT".

6. Direct to checkout button

When you click on "Buy it Now" button, you go directly to checkout.

It reduces friction.

The faster you can get people to use their credit card, the more you will sell.

7. How to use section

By adding a "how to use" section, you can show how easy it is to use your product.

Easy to use = Remove most objections people unconsciously have

It might seem stupid but it really has an impact on people's minds.

Very underrated.

In terms of conversion rate optimization, this product page has nothing crazy but It works great.

-Nicely designed
-Smooth and easy UX
-Clear CTA
-Benefits
-Social proof
-Fast purchase flow
