I’m still mad I got a C in Gifted Algebra II in 9th grade b/c I refused to do my homework. I got As on every test and quiz but homework was like 15% or some shit and the ceiling for C was 82 and not 80 (changed a few months later). Such BS.
The teacher had the temerity to ask me to be on the math team because I was so good at math and I was like “you just gave me the first C I have ever had in my life. No!”
The one upside was my mom was so freaked out she got me a math tutor. He realized within 10 minutes I didn’t need help with algebra so he taught me Calculus and then FORTRAN. I still didn’t go my homework.
Obviously, truly smart person would have done her homework but I was entering this idgaf phase for the first time in my life and was like opposed on principal to do what was clearly a waste of time.
