GOD OF LIGHT & DARKNESS.
The Psalmist wrote: "Clouds & darkness are round about Him: righteousness & judgment are the habitation of His throne."
Psalms 97:2
Imagine that: Clouds & DARKNESS are around God Almighty.
DARKNESS!
When you hear "DARKNESS", what comes to mind...?

Reading further, you get to Chapter 104: "Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:"
Psalms 104:2
Here, God covers Himself with LIGHT as a garment.
So, God covers himself with LIGHT.
Yet, DARKNESS surrounds Him!

Scripture records in 1st Kings 8:12: "Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that He would dwell in the THICK DARKNESS."
Same Scripture records: "Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the LIGHT which no man can approach unto..."
-1 Timothy 6:16
Are these not contradictions?

How?
I read these scriptures earlier today.
I asked the Holy Spirit, how do you reconcile these 2 positions?
He said, "It's not about HIM, Harry.
It's about YOU."
How do you mean?
He took me to Genesis.
God, Adam & Eve.
One day, God was LIGHT...
He came to chill with Adam & Eve.
They'd stroll in the Garden, probably hand in hand.
"Eve! How are you doing? Are you pregnant now?" 😉
"Pregnant ke? Not yet o! We're doing family planning! Let's enjoy ourselves 1st, abeg!" 😁
They'd all laugh at the joke.
There was Koinonia...
24 hours later, God came again.
He didn't see the couple!
They had gone into hiding!
The couple that enjoyed sweet Koinonia with God just yesterday are hiding from Him.
The couple that heard His voice yesterday & ran to hug Him are now running away from Him!
What happened?
God had become DARKNESS!
Yesterday, He was LIGHT.
Today, He is DARKNESS.
Did God change over night?
No.
He said, "I am the Lord, I DON'T CHANGE" (Malachi 3:6).
The change is not from God: it's from man.
Something had happened to man's CORE, so his view of God changed.
God will appear as light or darkness, depending on who is looking at Him.
God will appear as light or darkness, depending on the pedestal on which the looker is standing.
How do you see Him, sir?
How do you view Him, ma'am?
Check where you stand: that's what matters.
