This girl here, she was a child that her parents didn’t want that came accidentally (my head is strong 😂), she was a pepper-seller, she was a cleaner, she was a salesgirl, she had a couple of failed relationship / engagements, she has regular impostor syndrome moments.
she still think she doesn’t speak enough good English, and she didn’t get married until her mid-thirties.
But, she never stopped dreaming, planning, praying and fighting for what she believes in. She understands the power of positioning and clarity is her last name.
Every time she remembers who she is, she changes the game one more time. She is a nobody that is a somebody somewhere in her head so she continued to fight to be a somebody. In the process, she became a 3D-printing Queen and that changed her career and life-trajectory forever.
Today, I celebrate myself. The birth of me. My journey from Ibadan to OSU, to Lagos, to Kuopio and then Tampere Finland. My journey to Saskatoon and Hamilton Canada. To Columbus Indiana. Today, I remember where I have been, who I was and who I am trying to be 5 years from now.
I celebrate the girl who keeps telling herself that she won’t have a better last year and a better yesterday and keep fighting for more.
From pepper-seller, we have become strong contender in the Canadian and American Workforce, TEDx speaker, Company founder
several prestigious awards winner, money maker, Fendi and Goyard -wearing Olu’s wife 😃, and the hope in the dream of my mother ❤️. What is it that God and risk taking can’t do? If I don’t hype myself wetin I gain?
