The Legislature GUTTED it to suppress votes they suspected would be for Democrats (an absurd assumption)
What @MikeBloomberg did is follow the rules, he is paying off criminal justice debt
If your party can only stay in power by suppressing votes.
If your party needs to suppress votes to win.
There is something wrong with your party, not the potential voters
I am formerly incarcerated and I can tell you from experience, the idea that all formerly incarcerated people vote Democrat is LUDICROUS
But, EVERY PERSON should have a say in their government, NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
That is the core of our system of government
What @MikeBloomberg did is ONLY vote-buying if there is a quid pro quo attached.
The legislature said, in order for people with felony convictions to vote, their criminal justice debt has to be paid off first.
What Bloomberg did is follow the rules and do what was asked
In my whole life I have said about four nice things about @MikeBloomberg, but this thing he did is GOOD
All of us in this country no matter what party or persuasion should to the very marrow of our beings be entirely committed to the concept of one person one vote.
