1.) @PMOIndia, #AgricultreMinister Citizens of India. 3 Bills concerning farmers passed in the Parliament. Farmers are Agitating against these legislations why the farmers’ organizations were not consulted or taken on board about the provisions of the bills is not understood.
2.) Every Legislation should meet the aspirations of the stakeholders and be in line with the preamble of the constitution which I repeat herewith :-
"We the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign, Socialist Secular Democratic Republic
3.) and to secure to all its citizens:-
* Justice-Social Economic and Political
* Liberty-Thought, Expression, Belief and Worship.
2. COVID 19 Pandemic is spreading by the hour, the Chinese have intruded in our territory, as per one estimate, approx over 1100 Sq kms;
4.) at this time, farmers unhappiness and protests would further cause many difficulties, problems and harassment in the country.
3. Approx 80% intake in the Armed Forces is from the villages and mostly belongs to the farmer families. Farmers unrest will have adverse effects
5.) on the serving as well as Ex-servicemen. The equilibrium of peace & development will be adversely affected.
4. I appeal to the Govt to revisit the provisions of the bills, make suitable amendments in consultation with the farmer organizations.
