speaking personally, i cannot exaggerate just how much my life was and has been enriched by living with international students for my whole four years in college. and i know the other americans in the dorm can say the same.
one of the ironies of Trumpist anti-immigrant mania is that if US conservatives, and religious conservatives in particular, wanted to try to build a popular majority, they would allow a lot more immigration from a bunch of these places.
