LoL...as expected this thing has now descended into bogeyman-ism
Let’s not get carried away here. There is a way to meet people in high places in places like Nigeria and Ghana. It is annoying, unfair but it ‘works’ and everyone plays the game.
What is unusual, and to me remarkable, is that this guy had none of the requirements and got past it. You’ll say it’s because he’s white but you’ll also say the same thing if he was *anything* other than a local. Diaspora, black foreigner etc
As I said, this paints the Ghanaian VP in a good light in my eyes. No money changed hands, no deal was signed. All he did was listen to a pitch. That to me suggests someone open to listen outside of the regular channels.
Oyinbo get levels. I’m not sure a couple of broke guys with nothing other than a pitch is the normal level for this type of access. Nothing has been built and as a friend of mine said, ultimately that might come down to whether the VP asks for 10% of the deal to get it done
It is a disease of wokery (specifically, American wokery) to elevate anyone to this level of bogeyman just because the person has a white skin.
If once someone has white skin, you automatically imbue them with superhero like powers, *that too* is a problem. Let’s be real here.
Again, this was a couple of broke guys with an interesting sounding idea who managed to get 5mins of a public official’s time. Money no miss
