Let’s also remember that this isn’t about Amy Coney Barrett being Catholic. It’s about her being a religious extremist who belongs to a small fringe group, People of Praise, that demands exclusive loyalty and obedience from its members and that many Catholics reject.
Plus? Joe Biden is also Catholic! Plenty of Catholics do not believe women must be always condemned to torture and/or death if something goes wrong with their pregnancy, even if that is technically church doctrine!
And yes, I meant it when I said "condemned to torture and/or death,” that is literally what happens far too often to miscarrying women who are unfortunate enough to live close to a Catholic hospital.
