[2/10] Unsurprisingly, team Trump is at it again with a coded racist and xenophobic attack ad against Joe Biden. The ad makes a number of misleading, racist statements.
[3/10] The ad begins with a dubious and coded xenophobic boast about Trump’s swift action on COVID, referencing the travel ban from China.
Fact Check: apnews.com/article/d227b3…
[4/10] The ad then turns to a coded xenophobic attack on Biden with a similar racist idea that non-white foreigners would bring more COVID-19 to the states and hits Biden for wanting to increase refugee admissions by 700%.
[5/10] The 700% is a misleading number. While Biden does want to promote better policies on refugee admissions, this would simply be a return to previous refugee policies before Trump gutted the program.

[6/10] The ad further underscores its coded, racist message by singling out Yemen, Syria, and Somalia as it shows images of violence amidst non-white faces. This is ironic considering the history of our refugee program is designed around promises of liberty and refuge.
[7/10] Trump has also spent the last week spreading this coded, racist, and xenophobic message around the country at his political rallies. He drove a message of fear and division, whipping up his crowds to boo their neighbors and fear the non-white others in their communities.
[8/10] Trump has also tried to tie this racist attacks to @IlhanMN, encouraging his crowds to boo her and questioning her loyalty to the country. americasvoice.org/press_releases…
[9/10] Trump’s dangerous efforts of pitting neighbors against each other hurts us ALL in a time when we need unity and real policy solutions.
