Final point: what do you think would be the reaction from the UK media and political elites if a prime minister Corbyn had nominated for chairman of the BBC a journalist who had a long record of saying outrageous things like he was ‘afraid’ of and had ‘concerns’ about Judaism?
We rightly get exercised about and try and fight antisemitism - why can’t we do the same for Islamophobia? Why does Islamophobia and anti-Muslim bigotry get a total pass in the UK media? Why?
