He never deserved this advantage in the first place. As I noted the other day, independent analyses suggest a better economy under Biden 2/
And nothing in the historical record suggests that Rs are better than Ds for the economy. Actually the reverse 3/
But if he isn't favored on the economy, and faces high disapproval on just about everything else, how can Trump have a chance? The answer is that he still might (a) squeak through the electoral college or (b) manage to steal the election 4/
The fact that both (a) and (b) are real possibilities tells us that even if Biden wins, it will only be because Trump inspired enough revulsion to overcome a deeply corrupted system. We may avoid disaster this time, but we are not OK 5/
