This is really a very interesting and challenging book on the faith (and the loss thereof) of millennials. Required reading for pastors and youth leaders.
For example, I was struck by the strong relationship between faith struggles and mental health problems among millennials. This might be a largely overlooked issue in churches
‘What causes faith to flourish during emerging adulthood?’, asks Perrin. Answers: 1/ Experience of the existence & benevolence of God, 2/ An understanding of Christianity as cognitively coherent, 3/ A supportive, encouraging faith community, and 4/ A sense of vocation or vision.

Zelf herkende ik heel veel in dit boek, als ik kijk naar de ca. 15 jaar die we in Amsterdam nu optrekken met gelovigen, twijfelaars, ooit-gelovigen en zoekers uit deze leeftijdsgroep. Lezen!
En mocht je zelf tot de groep millennials behoren en geboeid (en gefrustreerd) zijn door je geloofsreis: dit boek is volgens mij heel verhelderend en een prima spiegel. Ook goed breekijzer om gesprekken op gang te brengen in de kerk.
