So the big story of the day seems to be a big list of people signing off on a list or making their own PR statements about how much they support J.K. Rowling. And there's a whole lot of names on that list I recognize as members of the same cult who know exactly what they're doing

but I kinda have to give the benefit of the doubt that a few people throwing their support in are a bit misinformed on exactly what it is they're supporting there.

Like are people aware that the thing that first got the spotlight on Rowling was her going accidentally public with

her support of a woman violently assaulting a trans person in the street? And I don't mean supporting someone who did that, I mean she was explicitly playing devil's advocate over the assault itself.

And I know it's easy to lose things in the shuffle when she's throwing so much

transphobic propaganda out there, but another thing over which she's been getting a fair bit of criticism is endorsing, following, and citing in her rambles one James Cantor, a "sex researcher" whose career is primarily focused on destigmatizing pedophilia. And quite explicitly.

It's worth noting of course that unless I'm scrolling right past it, Rowling seems to have scrubbed her more overt endorsements of him from her Twitter recently, which I note not in the interest of fairness but because I literally just found out that Cantor's career just took a

nosedive since his massive endorsement of Rowling was apparently the splash of water to the face his former colleagues needed to realize they were rubbing elbows with a far right bigoted creep literally pushing for pedophile rights. pinknews.co.uk/2020/08/26/can…
If you told me only one

of these two was facing career consequences for being BFFs bonding over their shared hate of trans people, that is decidedly not who I would have put my money on.

Oh and just to clarify, there is zero chance that Rowling, or any of the other famous transphobes putting their

hands in their pockets and whistling as they try to casually walk away from him just... somehow didn't notice they were endorsing Mr. "Add the P to LGBT" here. It's his whole thing. That whole crowd has been kissing his boots for years because he writes crap on his blog about how

pedophiles get an unfair reputation as sexual deviants who prey on children when it's really trans people you want to watch out for. And they quite happily cite these as "scientific studies" when writing their absurd exterminationist rants.
