Regarding my alliance charts, a thread. #BB22 #BBLF
I started doing these charts for myself, because I wanted to see the alliances overlapped on top of each other, to get a better sense of where loyalties lie. 1/11
I used to make messy pencil drawings, but last year I decided to get fancy, use some color and share them. Happily, other fans seemed to appreciate them, so I did them again this year.
I’d like to share the few rules that I try to adhere to when making the charts. 2/11
Getting the layout to work is *always* king, especially in the early weeks when there are so many people to fit in. Therefore, I will break any rule to get the layout to work. That being said, here are the rules I try to stick to:

1) The HOH is always placed in the top, center position.
2) Those on the block will always reside in the lower right position. 4/11
3) The closer you are to the top left corner the more power I perceive you have. The closer you are to the bottom right corner, the less power I perceive you have. 5/11
4) I only use the real name of alliances spoken within the house. Outside shipping names are never used. The chart is always meant to exclusively reflect the happenings inside the house. 6/11
5) I attempt to use color consistently across multiple charts, but at some points I need to reconcept the color choices and update as needed. I always aim to use color to make it easier and clearer to understand. I also just like color. 7/11
6) Yes, I know not all alliances are real… but they are real to at least one person in them—or else, what is the point. If an alliance is in the house, it’s placed on the chart, until it is clearly dead or someone from that alliance is evicted. 8/11
Now I am about to do something different. Last year for double eviction, I made a target chart. That seemed ineffective for 2 possible HOHs, so I have lost my mind and attempted to create totem poles for each player. The higher one is on the pole, the better. 9/11
It is highly subjective, based on what I have seen them say this week and the people they have historically been aligned with. Do not take this as gospel; this is just for fun. Enjoy! 10/11
P.S. Last year, my double eviction target chart proved to be correct. So I am 1 for 1 there. Can I make it 2 for 2? Seems too good to be true, but why not shoot for the stars? Pun intended, hehe. 11/11
