As per #NEP, the Board of Governors (BoG) shall be established consisting of a group of highly qualified, competent, & dedicated individuals with proven capabilities and a strong sense of commitment to the institution. #NEPTransformingIndia
The #BoG of an institution will be empowered to govern the institution free of any external interference, make all appointments, including that of the head of the institution, and take all governance decisions.

Effective governance and leadership by the #BoG will enable creating a culture of excellence and innovation in higher education institutions.

Digital libraries will also be established. School libraries will be set up - particularly in villages - to serve the community during non-school hours. Book clubs may meet in public/school libraries to further facilitate and promote widespread reading.
