🇳🇬 Nigeria 🇳🇬 @MBuhari
60 years of independence. But should be a day of mourning. Because #Nigeria is like a war bride.
A war bride because her leaders and government have plundered her the entire 60 years, and achieved nothing but regression.
#NigeriaAt60

The leaders of #Nigeria have raped, maltreated and continue to denigrate her even today, like the war bride she became.
Her shame is faked in pretensious pride though behind, she longs for better companions.
#NigeriaAt60

Her children are born with no love because her oppressors cares not about the outcomes of their malicious acts, nor do they look in at the war bride except when they wish to abuse her.
Her pleadings fall on deaf ears, and her cries nothing but noise to her captors. #NigeriaAt60

Nigeria, the war bride lives in abject sadness & no hope for mercy.
Her fate is only imagined in fictions.
Govt after govt, none treats her better than the previous; instead their success is to outdo their predecessors in increasing the pains of the war bride.
#NigeriaAt60

They boast of building roads, but only roads to hell.
These captors promise the war bride improved security but behind they plan more terror to keep her in check.
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria, the war bride lacks hospitals with equipment that can treat her.
Because her shameless captors like @MBuhari and his ilk prefer to get quality treatment in Britain, Germany and other nations that has built up a better environment for their nation.
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria the war bride lives under the draconian rules of SHAMELESS captors-pretending-to-be-leaders whose only goal is to shore up their family, tuck away unaccountable wealth elsewhere and replace themselves with reliable stooges.
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria the war bride, lives in terror of her captors unleashing yet another violence on her through mercenaries that she cannot identify nor recognise.
Because that's what oppressors do better than anything.
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria the war bride has no light in the dark except the noise of generators from her oppressors' high fenced compounds.
The oppressors promise her education but do not fund it.
They withhold the wages of her workers and fatten themselves on the back of the poor
#NigeriaAt60

The war bride is 60 but can hardly remember any happy day of it. Hope is her anchor but she knows too well that hope is not a destination.
So she and her uncared-for children turn to 'by all means' for everything and become senselessly religious.
#NigeriaAt60

Her children flee to better lands at the tiniest of opportunity.
Out there, some of them prosper but their war bride 'mother' lives on in the prison cage of the useless governments that made her a war bride.
#NigeriaAt60

She weeps when her children flee because in the desperation, some do it 'by all means' and end up dead on the Mediterranean seas, their body unclaimed or never found.
Nigeria the war bride lives in heavy heart of losing her children and never seeing them again.
#NigeriaAt60

The governments of the war bride promise her love but drags her to bed.
They woo her with sweet nothings only to beat her with rods hate.
They incite her children against each other and tell them how different they are loved, so to create jealousy.
#NigeriaAt60

For in creating jealousy and rancour amongst the children of the war bride, they distract them from rising up in unity to free their mother from the shackles of her captors, the corrupt governments.
They bribe her children with sweet poisons.
#NigeriaAt60

These captors has fine-tuned their abuse so well that the children of the war bride themselves submit without protest. Although if they dare protest they are shown the hot rod of punishments and made an example.
#NigeriaAt60

These oppressors once were military and understandably so. But when the world started seeing their wickedness, they rebranded themselves democratic and made new vows. But their treatment of the war bride has never changed. In fact, it got worse, clandestinely.
#NigeriaAt60

Now the captors are at the peak of their success because all the children of the war bride are at war amongst themselves. Blaming each other for the misfortune of their 'mother' while the perpetrators laugh and continue to plunder the war bride, #Nigeria
#NigeriaAt60

There is no end in sight. For this war bride, there is none to rescue her. Her children are at war with themselves. And attack even their siblings who sue for peace.
As long as the rancour sown by the oppressors grow, so long shall the war bride, #Nigeria suffer.
#NigeriaAt60

The children of the war bride are now divide 3ways:
1. Ones who support and defend their mother's captors.
2. Ones who blame and fight their siblings and [now] want to go it alone.
3. Ones who want peace but aren't allowed a say by siblings in the other 2 camps.
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria lives in eternal hope of a rescue from her corrupt leaders of no conscience, her tormentors who have taken her captive.
So today, her true companions, Nigerians with honest concern and care for her, mourn her sad fortune.
And weep for #Nigeria, the war bride
#NigeriaAt60

Nigeria the war bride never really got independence but is like a war bride sold from one captor to another in a bungled peace-truce.
Self-rule for #Nigeria is like leaving an abusive family home into an abusive marriage.
#NigeriaAt60 and nothing to show for it.
