People are still tweeting at me the 10 miles new wall figure is not accurate and trump built over 300.
I have receipts.
Bush Signed the border fence act in 2005-2006. the first map shows in red where the work is to be done.
Second is last weeks DHS maps. WHAT DO YOU SEE? THE SAME

2/ here is what President bush signed into law in 2006: ( you can't dispute this because, well it is signed Law and easily searchable)
The Secure Fence Act (2006) instructed the Department of Homeland Security to protect 700 miles of the U.S ( the redlines above are 700 miles)

3/ 123-mile-long vehicle fencing along the southern boundary of Arizona's Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument forms, one of the longest continuous physical barriers on the U.S. border.

4/ Half of the 650 miles of barriers along the border are designed to stop vehicles only. The rest, like the fencing in Presidio, Texas, is to halt foot traffic.

5/ Secure Fence Act calls for 130 miles of this 18-foot-high metal pedestrian fencing to be built in Texas, mostly near urban areas and international bridges.

6./ If you take the 700 miles of border wall system and look at the DHS " new wall system" is the the fucking same + new 9.4 miles.

Come at me bruh.

7/ Obama admin came and over 8 years issued contracts to replace vehicle barriers like these ones with taller structures. I am trying to add ten all up together to give you the exact miles combined

typos but fuck it I am busy

Yes trump is replacing low normandy beach style barriers with taller bollard fencing that is decimating the environment. the issue remains: trump will claim 400 miles of new border wall. it is not accurate

if you want to explore the Data of the border fence/wall in details, including times-dates-locations, and which segment was built under what admin, go to Reveal's border fence shapefiles on GitHub github.com/cirlabs/border…
