I relied on talent when I was younger
No Plan
No Strategy
I'd just show up to anything & get decent results
But I can tell you from experience
A untalented person with a plan
Will beat a talented person with no plan
Which is why my results were decent not great
Here's why
- How often I showed up was inconsistent
- Wasn't doing the highest ROI things
- Would often need to make miracles happen to compensate for wasted time/inefficiencies
- Getting decent results but knowing I was capable of great results destroyed confidence
^ that last one is important
Seeing untalented people, beginners, even incompetent people at times
Get superior results
Messes with your head
Self worth, confidence, etc
It is ESSENTIAL to have a plan, discipline, & strategy
To allow your talent to truly be utilized/rewarded
Your talent is the engine, the energy
But it needs a vehicle
Solid framework to get it performing & getting to where you want to go
Schedules
Strategies
Discipline
Consistency
Are the parameters/framework, the vehicle
Which house the engine of your talent
Order is the first law of the universe
Organized Average teams beat unorganized talented teams
Knowing the playbook, their position, their plan, their strategy
Beats the faster, stronger, more athletic team who don't know the plays, have no plan & just wing it
