TEAM WORK & THE SIMILITUDE OF A SOLID STRUCTURE

Team work implies individual commitment to a group effort to achieve a goal.

Let us look at this verse:

"Verily, Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure." Suratul Saff, verse 4.

The similitude of a building ( solid structure) in this verse is a perfect example of team work & sacrifice, two things required for any meaningful development of a people. The same way a single block doesn't make a building, so can't an individual live as an island.

Look at how the spirit of sacrifice & team work is displayed in building a single wall. Assume ourselves as individual blocks. For that wall to be successfully erected, there must be a foundation buried into the ground, some meters deep. Then some would begin to be laid at the

bottom of the wall, layer after layer until the top where the roofing would now be placed. Now assuming those blocks (individuals) that were buried beneath the surface say, NO WE WONT ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE BURIED. WHY ME? If each one of them protested, look at the room you are in

at the moment, would that room have ever been completed? Now assuming those blocks that formed the foundation were convinced to make sacrifice but those that were laid at the bottom of the room said NO WAY, WE WONT ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE AT THE BOTTOM. WE WANT TO SURFACE ON TOP.

Again, would there have been a successful structure you are living in right now?

The same applies to our lives. Some people have to make sacrifices for others to be up there. For us to grow, all of us, some have to bend down & give others their shoulders to step on.

If we all refuse to make sacrifices for one another, or refuse to work together, we won't go any where.

But if we all out our hands together for one another, we will eventually get there one day. All of us.
