@sabhlok Still, MeWe ToS does * not * cover freedom of expression, only (data) privacy and censorship seems to occur on that base.

@sabhlok @markweinstein I fact MeWe is having the same ToS as all major platforms. It means the potential consequences are the same: It can censor if complaints/pressures are made (included by users or org like WHO) and as it see fit.

Clearly, speech privacy is not free speech.

@sabhlok @markweinstein Diaspora* install a node/server when you install the app - transparent for users.

Mastodon can only be free speech if you own your server (else your are at the mercy of the host) which is impossible to do nor manage for most users.
