Remains of Nandi at the ancient Thirumalapuram cave temple, Tirunelveli.
The Shiva temple was earlier used by Christian missionaries as a Church. They completely destroyed monolithic Nandi infront of Mahadev.
Hindus still worship whatever remains of the Nandi.

Sendamaram Tirumalaimatha Church is built on top of Thirumalapuram cave temples under @ASIGoI .
The Church is under the Diocese of Palayamkottai.
Their website makes it clear that the Church was built after destroying an ancient temple and using its materials.

The Church complex built on the encroached temple hill has all the facilities and shelter for pilgrims and priests.
Whereas the Shiva temple who owns the hill languishes under @ASIGoI with no facilities for Hindu devotees.
We have to find a solution.

To the complaint by @VivekRalla, @ASIGoI has replied that the ownership of 62.22 acres of land including the Thirumalapuram rock cut Shiva temple belongs to Rev Father J Mahe, SJ Superior of Roman Catholic Mission.
Church should immediately vacate the temple and it's land.
