I went along the Three Distilleries Path on #Islay to pay homage to Islay’s whisky culture, while tasting the 5 whiskies in April’s tasting pack. β˜€οΈπŸ₯ƒπŸ₯°

❗️: islay - Level 3. Public consumption of alcohol is allowed Scotland coronavirus guidelines.😬

Distilleries unaffiliated

1st distillery, #Ardbeg πŸ₯ƒβ˜€οΈ.
1st @SMWSUK whisky:

Candles, kumquats, and polished oak. Lowland, 31 y. Oof that polished oak smell is stronggggg! But it did taste like delightful kumquats πŸ₯°

2nd distillery: #Lagavulin
2nd @SMWSUK whisky:
Fruit market - Candy store. Highlands, 9y

Tastes like that banana candy favor! 🍌🍬

3rd distillery: #Laphroaig πŸ”₯πŸ₯ƒ
3rd @SMWSUK #whisky: Wood smoke through a port hole. Highland, 13y.

This one is smoky! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

4th @SMWSUK whisky: give free rein to imagination. Highland, 9y. 61.9% ABV 😳

I am getting red! And it is getting windy!!

5th and last @SMWSUK #whisky. Speyside, 7y. And the village of Port Ellen in the background. πŸ₯ƒ

Took this one home to drink (around the corner). Yes! This is my home village!! πŸ₯°πŸ΄σ §σ ’󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Tasting notes: cilantro mint chutney
Lannie notes: least fave...

A big thank you to @SMWSUK for the #gifted tasting pack❣️
