Tired of watching CoVid Misinformers hide the BS in Youtube videos?
Here's how to very quickly generate a transcript, search it, and copy the url at that given time.
Only on workstation or laptop. No mobile that I know of.
With your craptastic video open:
1. click on CC.
2. Then click on the little 3 dots.
3. Click on open transcript.
The transcript will open to the right of the conversation.
1. Click on 3 dots.
2. Toggle timestamp.
With the upper left-side of the transcript open, cntrl plus select the conversation. Draw all the way down to the end of the conversation. Cntrl C to copy.
Here's if you get lost on this part, here's a video:
Cntrl + V into notepad.
Cntrl + F to find "vaccine" for example.
Cntrl + C that bat-shit crazy phrase you want to listen to.
Here I've selected "is actually reasonable vaccine"
Go back to your browser. Cntrl + F to open the find window in your browser.
Search for your copied phrase. Click on it in the transcript window, and the youtube video jumps right to it. Hit play and listen to the crazy.
Ok! You've decided that it is sufficiently crazy to highlight in a devastating tweet.
Maybe this time you'll get Michael Levitt to stop making ridiculous predictions!
Right click on the video at the desired time. Select "Copy video url at selected time".
Paste into tweet.
Look out at the window at your lovely Dutchmaster Daffodils. Smile. You have done a good thing.
