#Vikhroli's Kannamwar Nagar residents in #Mumbai help injured young #macaque get rescued!
It was found wandering inside premises of the residential blgd after it was chased by few community dogs.

Upon closely observing they realized that its forehead was bleeding due to an injury & they got in touch with us to seek further assistance.
However, macaque was under stress due to the presence of community animals & was constantly changing its location to keep itself safe.
By the time our team reached the location, the residents feared that it would escape and its wound would be left untreated. Hence, they secured the young macaque and safely sheltered it inside one resident's bathroom so that it doesn't undergo further stress due to human presence
Dr Priti and her team of vets at Himi's Bark veterinary clinic conducted a detailed medical examination of the mammal. It was found to be dehydrated, & undernourished, apart from the injury at its forehead.
The macaque was stabilized, its first-aid was done, it was hydrated and is now on its way towards a speedy recovery.
We would sincerely like to thank the residents of Kannamwar Nagar who went out of their ways to ensure the young macaque gets treatment on time.
We are living in middle of a pandemic that is at its peak. Everyone is trying to help each other in all ways possible. And at same time, we have such heroes who don't wear capes but go all out of their way to help the animals who cannot speak & express their pain as we humans can
