These are two big influencers in Monterey County. Two assholes who were implicated in a major cocaine case that also implicated Dave Drew, a man @JerryBrownGov corruptly pardoned in 2018.

The two men are partners in Monterey California's Cannery Row.

Brown's dad once had an

ownership interest in Cannery Row property with San Francisco's Ben Swig.

Corruption is deeply rooted in our society.

County Supervisor John Phillips was in the DA's office at this time and he helped kill this major case. It was that easy for a few in power to do.

John Phillips and a corrupt judge named Steven Sillman, whose history of misconduct is a quiet legend in MoCo, worked for the bad guys in undermining the People's case. And @salnews was pressured because of the epic journalism they did on this story.

History will not be kind to these men who did untold damage to Monterey County and beyond.

This is @JerryBrownGov's pardon boy with a recent comment to this site.

(Scott Miller was the former Sheriff of @MCoSheriff)

And this is @JerryBrownGov pardon boy Dave Drew making a thinly veiled threat early in 2020.

Can he and Mike Richards roll by my house. @SupervisorAskew's colleague @PhillipsForSup said Dave Drew is completely rehabilitated.

Nope.

Dave Drew's best friend in all of law enforcement is a corrupt cop who I participated in having fired in 2011/2012 - Mike Richards. Mike Richards was a Commander under @MCoSheriff and their PIO.

Richards received a special "exemption" in 2003 from then Sheriff Mike

Kanalakis who was undoubtably corrupt. Miller defeated Kanalakis in 2010. I ran the campaign for Miller.

Dave Drew has a unique problem. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. That's a problem for the two boys on Cannery Row and all the other players in this act.

The claim that helped John Phillips kill this case was the informant was unreliable.

History is instructive, in the moment Phillips was able to sell that bullshit.

Many of the players were later arrested and charged with other crimes like narco trafficking or laundering.

8/

Not the boys of Cannery Row though - @bradleyzeve's big advertisers at the @mcweekly.

The informant claimed they received 2 - 40 kilos of cocaine per delivery.

Monterey County has a corruption problem and it goes back decades.

So who will change things?
