Really important to understand the oral biology of SARS2 better. Including salivary glands!
Clear infection of multiple oral cell types, with cells of the salivary glands of particular note because of their production of saliva.
And complex immune cell infiltrates in the salivary glands of acute COVID-19 patients, as well as autopsies. Including T cells, B cells, and antigen presenting cells.
